These Terms govern your use of rivertonretreat.com and your booking and stay at Riverton Retreat, 5609 Riverton Rd, Church Creek, MD. By booking, you agree to these Terms and to our Booking & House Policies and Privacy Policy.

Bookings & payment

A reservation is confirmed only when payment is completed and you receive a confirmation email. You must be at least 25 years old and the booking guest must stay at the property. Rates, fees, and availability are shown at checkout and may change until a booking is confirmed.

Cancellations & refunds

Cancellations and refunds follow the schedule in our Booking & House Policies.

Your responsibilities

  • Use the home and grounds respectfully and follow the house rules.
  • Don’t exceed the guest count on your reservation or host unapproved events.
  • Supervise all use of the dock, pier, kayaks, hot tub, and waterfront, especially with children.
  • Report any damage or issues promptly so we can address them.

Assumption of risk & limitation of liability

Riverton Retreat is a private waterfront property. Swimming, boating, kayaking, crabbing, fishing, hot-tub use, and time on the dock and grounds carry inherent risks. You and your guests use them voluntarily and at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the owners are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage to persons or property during your stay, except where caused by our gross negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the booking.

Indemnification

You agree to hold the owners harmless from claims arising out of your stay or that of your guests, including damage to the property or injury to any person, to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Dorchester County, Maryland.
