Dorchester County is the goose capital of the Atlantic flyway. From November into February, this stretch of the Shore fills with Canada geese, snows, and ducks, and the house sits right in the middle of it on Hudson Creek, 15 minutes from Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge.
It's built for a hunting party. Five bedrooms sleep 15, so the whole group stays under one roof instead of scattered across motels. Two fridges hold the food and the birds' worth of groceries. Dogs are welcome. There's room to park trucks, trailers, and boats, and a public ramp 10 minutes away at Savage Point.
The routine writes itself. Out early, back cold, chili on the gas range, then the hot tub and the fire pit. Repeat.
One honest note: hunting happens off the property with the outfitter or land access you arrange. Guided field and blind hunts are easy to line up in Dorchester and we're glad to point you to local outfitters. Check Maryland DNR for current season dates and regulations.
